The long awaited full solar eclipse by people all across America was witnessed today. 

21st August, 2017 marks the first time in nearly 40 years that North America has seen a total solar eclipse. It's also the first time in nearly 100 years that a total solar eclipse will be seen from the East Coast of the U.S. to the West Coast.

Millions of people all across America took break from their regularly businesses; offices, schools, stores, etc, just to catch a view and be part of the once in a blue moon experience. 

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, casting a shadow that turns day into an eerie twilight here on Earth, and this can have a damaging effect the eyes such as cancerous mutation, cataracts and in some situations lead to permanent eyes demage if looked directly without taking precautional measures due to too much UV light hitting the eyes.
