Zimbabwe’s former vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in as interim president on Wednesday, making him the second president of the country until the next general elections in September, 2018.
Mugabe's refusal to the demands to step down for almost a week after a military takeover and expulsion from his own ruling ZANU- PF party resulted to an impeachment process by the parliament but he voluntarily stepped down on Tuesday, hours after the commencement of the debate.
Mnangagwa, who fled the country over safety concerns after been sacked by the former Zimbabwe's president, Mugabe, praised Zimbabweans for forcing Robert Mugabe out of power.
